Edna Aragon

Hola, my name is Edna Aragon. I live in Antigua, Guatemala. I have 27 years of experience teaching Spanish, during which time I have taught all levels of Spanish from beginner to advanced. I have taught and still teach children as well.  I have a certicifate from the University of San Carlos in teaching Spanish as a second language. I also have a diploma in tourism and hospitality and have studied law at university. 

Throughout my career as a Spanish teacher, I have taught students from several different countries including Canada, China, Japan, Poland, and the United States.  I have also worked in Spanish total immersion programs with groups of students from various universities in the United States (University of the Pacific, University of North Texas, etc.).  I love teaching Spanish because I learn so much from my students and can share the wonders of Guatemala with the world. I speak English well enough to communicate with students when English is necessary during class. 

I'm single with two adult children, a 26 year old son and a 23 year old daughter. My son is a professional photographer, and my daughter is a salesperson. I want my children to succeed professionally and socially.  My goal is to prosper financially and to travel more to learn about other cultures and create great memories.
 

I enjoy listening to music and reading a good book while drinking a cup of wonderful Guatemalan coffee. I love organizing get togethers with my friends and family. Another thing that delights me is riding my motorcycle and feeling the fresh air in my face. I like gardening, especially succulents and cacti. Finally, I love baking and decorating cakes for my friends and family. 

I teach classes online using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and/or WhatsApp. I´m also available to teach face-to-face classes if you´re visiting the Antigua area.  We can arrange classes to meet your schedule. I look forward to working with you.

Terms and Conditions: You and your instructor will agree on the payment method and terms (duration of class, schedule, frequency, etc). If you choose to prepay for a package of classes, you must complete all prepaid sessions within three (3) months from the date of the last class in which you participated. That is if during the period of your prepaid classes there is a three (3) month or longer pause in instuction, you will lose the right to continue with your prepaid package of classes-- unless you and your instructor had previously agreed in writing to an extended pause in instruction. Communication with your instructor is essential!
